To check EPF balance, it is essential to integrate your UAN number with your KYC details, i.e. Aadhar, PAN or Bank Account A/c details. Only then you can access your EPF balance via SMS. Once your UAN number is updated in your KYC details, follow these steps:
1: First send an SMS to the mobile number 7738299899 from your registered mobile number.
2: Then type the message EPFOHO UAN (LANGUAGE).
Note:- You will have to set your preferred language of communication.
Type that by using the first three characters of your preferred language.
To check EPF balance, make sure that your employer has activated your Universal Account Number (UAN). Universal Account Number or UAN is a unique 12 digit no for all the employees enrolled under the EPF scheme. All employees should have only one UAN during their working life irrespective of the companies they switch. the Employee Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) allocated the UAN number. Once your UAN number is activated, just follow these steps to check EPF Balance and Statement :
1: Log on to the EPFO portal. Go to the tab ‘Our Services’. Next enter the option “for employees” from the drop-down menu.
2: Next click on the option ‘Member passbook’ under option “Services.”
3: A login page will appear. Enter your UAN number and password.
4. After logging in, you can access your EPF account & check PF Balance.
You can check your EPFO balance by giving a missed call to the authorised phone No from your registered mobile number. This service is only available upon the feeding of your UAN with your KYC details i.e. Aadhar, PAN or Bank Account A/C details. Once your UAN is integrated with your KYC details, follow the steps mentioned below:
1: Give a missed call to the no 011-22901406 from your registered mobile number.
2: After placing a missed call, you will receive an SMS providing you with your PF balance and last contribution details.
Before checking your PF balance, make sure that the employer has activated your UAN number. You can also check your EPF balance by downloading the Umang from the Google Play Store.
1: First download the app Umang (UNified Mobile Application For New Age Governance) click on ‘Employee Centric Services’ and then click to ‘Balance/Passbook’.
2: Now enter your UAN and registered mobile number. The system will verify your mobile number and your UAN details. If all the details check out right, you can view your updated EPF balance details. In case of any mismatch, you will get an error.
